Tai Chi Works -> What do we offer? -> Option 3

Whole day workshops:
Choose between one of the following:

Tai Chi to Energise and to Relax
The aim of the day is

to develop breathing techniques to help calm the body and improve mental control.

to learn and practise a variety of Tai Chi movements (including the extended series of moves called the Tai Chi Form) to energise the body and tone the muscles.

to take part in a guided meditation and exercises in mental focus.

By the end of the day, participants will have learnt a series of techniques that should help them manage stress and improve concentration.

Tai Chi Team Building Day

The aim of the day is to develop coordination, responsiveness and cooperation through partnered work, which is an essential part of Tai Chi practice.

Tai Chi and Chi Gung activities will be used to develop softness of movement and focus of the mind.

Tai Chi can be practised as a Martial Art and this workshop will use some of those aspects, including using the traditional weapons of Tai Chi - the stick, fan, silk and sword - as well as simple self-defence application of Tai Chi. Although contact techniques will be included, the principles of respect and safe practice will be emphasised throughout.

The day will give participants plenty of opportunity to work closely with other people, but in the true spirit of Tai Chi - that of lack of competition and ego.
